1. Drill 4-7/16" oversized holes using the old mechanism as a drill hole pattern.
2. Then drill 1/8" or 3/16"pilot hole for the provided Phillips wood screws.
3. Use washers and insert a bolt to tighten, thus establishing a new mounting base to mount the new mechanism.
4. Mount new mechanism using 4 deep thread #6090 Phillips oval head wood screws.(The knob faces the front when seated.)
